Engineers are the key artisans in building Smart Bangladesh: IEB

If you want to build a smart Bangladesh by 2041, you have to trust and believe in engineers. Engineers should be given opportunities. Engineer friendly country should be formed. Engineers are the main craftsmen in making Smart Bangladesh.

The leaders of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) expressed his opinion on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh and Engineers Day held at Ramna in the capital today (Sunday).

President Engineer of IEB Engineer Md. Nurul Huda said that the Institution of Engineers was formed before the independence of this country. Engineers have played an undeniable role in the reconstruction of independent Bangladesh.

The newly elected president of IEB, Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur said that the engineers are working to build a smart Bangladesh with the hands of the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Engineers will be by the Prime Minister's side to strengthen the hand of the Prime Minister in any situation in the future.

IEB General Secretary Engineer Md. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu said, the country's engineers are still working bravely on various problems. The development of the country will be strengthened if engineers are properly evaluated and engineers are appointed to the top positions in engineering organizations.

The newly elected General Secretary of IEB Engineer S.M. Manjurul Haque Manju said that if the demands presented by IEB in the press conference are implemented soon, including the creation of an engineering wing in the Prime Minister's Office, the country and the people will benefit.

The IEB Vice-President Engineer Mohammad Hossain, Engineer Khandkar Manjur Morshed, Engineer Md. Nuruzzaman, Assistant General Secretary Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Hazari, Engineer Pratik Kumar Ghosh, Engineer Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin, Engineer Amit Kumar Chakraborty, Engineer Meshbahuzaman Chandan, Chairman of IEB Dhaka Center Engineer Molla Mohammad Abul Hossain, Editor Engineer Khairul Basar, Vice President Engineer Md Habib Ahmed Halim Murad and various centers of IEB, Sub-Centre Leaders were present at that time.

The Institution of Engineers was formed on May 7, 1948 with the slogan 'Build a better world'. IEB has gained recognition in the country and abroad as a professional institution for quality improvement and problem solving of the country's engineers. Today (Sunday), in the morning at IEB premises, 75th anniversary and Engineers Day was celebrated by hoisting of national flag and IEB flag, rally and oath taking ceremony. Moreover, Engineers Day was celebrated through various programs in 18 centers, 34 sub-centres and 14 overseas chapters of IEB across the country.
